The Energy Smart Unit™ reduces the amount of power drawn from the utility by storing otherwise lost electricity (kWh, kW, or kVA) caused by the inductive motors in your home. Some examples of inductive motors are air conditioning units, refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, pool pumps, vacuum cleaners, furnace blower motors, fans etc. The technology applied by Energy Smart Unit™ supplies the stored electricity back to your inductive loads, causing you to decrease your demand (kW or kVA) from the utility. As demand is decreased, you pull less electricity from the utility company. This is reflected by the slower movement and lower volume of consumption (kWh) on your meter. You pay for the electricity flowing through your meter, why pay for it and waste it, when you can pay for it, store it, and reuse it again. This whole process is called power factor optimization. The amount of saving on your energy bill depends on many factors. The size of your home, the amount of inductive motor load, and the amount you are paying per kilowatt-hour for electricity etc. Users of this product have generally seen anywhere from 10 to 50% in reduced consumption, but the average savings reported have been in the 10% to 25% range.

How the Energy Smart Unit™ Works

The Energy Smart Unit™ is patented as an apparatus suited to determine, to an exact science, the amount of capacitance that is needed to optimize inductive motors to unity for maximum energy savings.

The Energy Smart Unit™ fine tunes the electrical system from the inductive equipment back through the utility company's electric meter, both for kilowatt hour meter (kWh) demand (kW or kVA). This fine tuning will slow down and reduce the overall electrical consumption.

The Energy Smart Unit™ Commercial Unit works with any 3 Phase or up to a 400 amp panel. It is installed next to the electrical breaker box panel (preferably by a licensed electrician). This is designed for commercial buildings large than 2,500 square ft. and have 3 Phase or up to a 400 amp panel

The Energy Smart Unit™ stores the reactive power to create an electromagnetic field (EMF) around the inductive windings of a motor.

As alternating current (AC) motors operate, reactive power is "pulled" and "pushed" to and from the The Energy Smart Unit™ by the motor at 60 cycles/second.

The Energy Smart Unit™ stores and releases what the motors need to function at maximum efficiently.

The unique approach serves to reduce the heat generated on the lines and reduce the strain placed on all electrical components.
